RGVs can integrate various transfer mechanisms such as rollers, forks, and lifting to flexibly handle the transfer needs of different material forms, including brick blanks, dried bricks, and finished blocks. As a link connecting various isolated production units, RGVs are key execution units for achieving "lights-out factories" and intelligent production. Through integration with a central control system, fully unmanned operation can be achieved, freeing workers from manual handling and significantly reducing the breakage rate of brick blanks during transfer. The vehicle body is equipped with two track wheels on each of its four sides at the bottom, aligned with the transverse and longitudinal tracks. Lifting cylinders are located on the front and rear sides. When the cylinders are raised, the track wheels on all four sides that are in contact with the transverse track are lifted, and the longitudinal track wheels fall down to contact the longitudinal track, allowing the vehicle to travel on the longitudinal track. When the cylinders are lowered, the track wheels on all four sides that are in contact with the transverse track fall down to contact the transverse track, and the longitudinal track wheels are lifted, allowing the vehicle to travel on the transverse track.

The vehicle is equipped with a lifting mechanism on top. When it rises, it lifts the items; the vehicle then travels to the designated location according to a preset target; when it descends, it lowers the items, thus transferring them from one location to another – a goods transport operation.
During track laying, the transverse and longitudinal tracks of the transport vehicle are at the same plane height.
